What to Bring

When Attending Treatment

When attending treatment

at Into the Light, it's essential to come prepared with certain items to ensure your comfort and readiness. Here's a list of items we suggest packing:

It’s a good idea to check with the Into the Light program staff or your treatment coordinator for any specific items or restrictions related to the program you’ll be attending. They can guide you on what is allowed and what will best support your treatment journey.

Identification and Insurance Information

Bring your identification card and any necessary insurance information. This will help streamline the check-in process.

Insurance Card and Payment Information

Ensure you have your insurance card and payment information for any copayments or fees that may be required.

Prescription Medications

If you are currently taking prescription medications, bring them in their original bottles with proper labels. This ensures that the medical staff is aware of your medications and can provide appropriate care.

Comfortable Clothing

Wear comfortable and casual clothing that allows for ease of movement and relaxation. Dressing in layers can help you adjust to varying room temperatures.

Personal Toiletries

You may want to bring your personal toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and any other daily items.

Notebook and Pen

Bringing a notebook and pen can be helpful for taking notes during therapy sessions or for jotting down thoughts and reflections.

Books or Reading Materials

If you enjoy reading, consider bringing a book or reading materials to occupy your time during breaks or downtime.

Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is essential, so bring a reusable water bottle to have access to water throughout the day.

Snacks

Depending on the program’s policies, you may want to bring healthy snacks to keep your energy up during the day. Check with the staff to ensure snacks are allowed.

Comfort Items

If you have any comfort items, such as a blanket, pillow, or stuffed animal, feel free to bring them to help create a sense of familiarity and comfort.

Emergency Contact Information

Have a list of emergency contact names and phone numbers readily available in case it’s needed.

Positive Attitude and Open Mind

While not a physical item, having a positive attitude and an open mind can significantly contribute to your experience in treatment. Approach the program with a willingness to engage in therapy and learn.
